Assam Orunodoi Scheme:- The government keeps on launching many schemes for the benefit of the residents. So, the government of Assam also launched a new scheme with the aim to help poor families of the state. Assam Orunodoi Scheme was launched on 1 December 2020 in order to provide nutritional and medicinal help to the poor families of the state. With the help of this scheme, about 17 Lakh families will be benefitted. All eligible families who are not rich will be receiving financial assistance from this scheme. The government passed a budget of 2800 crore for the successful implementation of the scheme. Individuals whose income is less than two lakhs per annum can take advantage of this scheme. The best part of the scheme is that the amount will be directly into the bank account of the receiver through the direct benefit transfer method.

Under the Orunodoi Scheme, the government will be giving Rs. 830 to 17 lakh families every month to purchase food basics. Out of the total amount, 400 will be provided for medicines, Rs 200 to buy 4 kilograms of pulses, Rs 80 to purchase sugar, and Rs 150 will be given to purchasing fruit. The scheme was started by keeping in mind the need of the people who are not able to purchase basic things such as food and medicine etc. After receiving benefits from this scheme, the poor residents of the state will be able to live their lives easier. The main motive to start this scheme was to help the Low-income families of the state. Financial assistance will be given so that people of the state can purchase basic items such as sugar, medicines, pulses, fruits, and vegetables.
